Autumn Mountain Adventure Session
There is something to be said about fall in the pacific northwest. The upper left is mostly known for it’s rainy winters and sunny and 75 summers, but I think autumn in the pacific northwest is my favorite season. The crisp air, vivid colors that appear in the mountains, and sweater weather are all things that make me extra happy.
The first time I met Brooke and Clay was in West Seattle where we met to grab drinks and get to know one another. We spent 2 hours talking, laughing, and bonding over common interests. Originally they were looking for only photos for their wedding day, but after I mentioned the idea of an adventure session they were all in (my kind of people).
The Big Four Ice Caves is a classic and popular spot off of the mountain loop highway to go hiking. Just 90 minutes from Seattle, one will find themselves surrounded by snow capped mountains and the breathtaking fall colors that sweep the mountainside. Prior to the shoot Brooke and Clay told me the type of backdrop they were hoping for, and The Big Four Ice Caves immediately came to mind.
We met two hours before sunset at the trailhead and off we went. What I love about this trial is with every turn, there are stunning views any direction you look. But what I love even more is the opportunity to take my clients to the mountains and watch them experience trails they have not been to before.
We had the sweetest evening in the mountains, and it made me even more excited for their August 2019 wedding.
