if you want an unforgettable elopement, Oregon awaits.

Dramatic Landscapes, Epic Adventures

AND WE’D BE HONORED TO BE YOUR OREGON ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

Your guide to eloping in oregon:

Check off as you go!

Rocky coastlines brimming with tide pools. Pine forests straight out of Lord of the Rings. Sleepy towns with Old West vibes. Snow-capped mountains (wait, make that volcanoes). High desert, sagebrush and all.

Whatever backdrop you’re got in mind for your wedding day, Oregon—home to five national parks, dozens of incredible state parks, and over 350 miles of coastline—is sure to have something that suits you.

Better yet, many of Oregon’s state and national forests can be enjoyed year round—and plenty of the state’s public lands are ADA-accessible, so that anyone can take in the views.

From fairytale forests to moody, misty coastline, Oregon has all the North West views you’re expecting (plus a few surprises).

Why get married here?

You Can Count On Us:

Like when wildflowers are at their peak, which waterfalls are gorgeous but not too crowded, and which microbreweries are worth checking out in Bend.

Our Oregon elopement photographers have photographed hundreds of elopements and microweddings in Oregon—which means we know a thing or two.

We don’t just photograph here, we live here.

Your Swiss Army Knife

05

Give you a packing list, tie your bouquet to the strap of your backpack, and even pass out trail mix before you can get hangry

May-June or June-October (it gets HOT in the summer)

season:

Meet Bend, aka the “Craft Beer Capital of the Northwest,” which also happens to have the highest number of sunny days in the state (yes, Oregon isn’t always moody). You can float down the river, explore a giant lava tube, or visit the charming nearby town of Sisters, famous for its Old-West vibes.

Just outside Bend, you’ll find gorgeous high-desert landscapes in Smith Rock State Park, which also happens to be a climber’s paradise. Our founder Mollie photographed a you-have-to-see-it-to-believe-it climbing elopement here. (But if climbing’s not your thing, no worries—we love a more low-key approach, too.)

Year-round

season:

Want to get married on a dormant volcano? Oregon’s best-known peak awaits. You’ll find jewel-colored alpine lakes, tall pine forests, and plenty of waterfalls. If you’re looking for more adventure, Mt. Hood offers plenty of places to canoe, rock climb, or fit in some mountain biking. Plus, the cozy town of Government Camp is the ideal place to stay before or after your big day.

Year-round

season:

Close to Portland (only 30 minutes away, actually), the Columbia River Gorge is nestled on the border of Washington and Oregon. You’ll find more than 90 waterfalls along an 85-mile stretch of river, and it’s easy to access year-round. Plus, it’s brimming with lush, fern-filled forests.

Mid-June to early October, when the trails are snow-free

season:

To the north, you’ll find craggy cliffs, ample tide pools, and lighthouses dotting the shoreline.

Further south, you can get that classic PNW mood (and mist) but still enjoy mild weather, almost year-round. Plus, it’s a short drive from here to Redwoods National Park, another one of our favorite elopement spots in the PNW.

WHERE SHOULD YOU elope in oregon?

meet your oregon photographers

It’s so diverse in its landscape! Not many people think of the high desert or mesas when they think of Washington, but it has all that and the alpine landscapes that usually come to mind.

What she loves about washington:

Born and raised in Washington, Kass started out as a guide for backpacking, climbing & hiking trips, then gradually made her way to photography. She currently lives in the North Cascades but has been known to head out for months-long van trips.

Have you been here? Where else can you find oceans, alpine lakes, endless mountains, desert and rainforest?

What she loves about washington:

A self-described “PNW stan,” Devin’s been photographing elopements for over 5 years, and she loves bringing a cinematic feel to her work. She can definitely beat you in a game of UNO, and if you need someone to teach all your guests the moves to a song, she’s your girl.

Why Elope with Between the Pine

Between the Pine started in 2018, with just me and my camera. Since then, we’ve grown to a team of hand-picked photographers, each with years of experience photographing elopements in their own right.

We like to think of ourselves as local experts - we’ve spent countless hours scouting the best trails and lookout sites in Oregon, building a network of trustworthy vendors, and preparing for the challenges Mother Nature sometimes throws at us. (We can even give you advice on what to see and do if you’re sticking around Oregon for your honeymoon!)

When you book your Oregon adventure elopement with us, we don’t just show up with our camera on the morning of.

We get to know you, then create a detailed itinerary for your day, centered on you and the vibe you both want—whether that’s exploring forests that look like they’re straight from a fantasy novel, picnicking in a wildflower-filled meadow, or rock-climbing in the high desert.

And on top of all the planning, cheerleading, and guiding we do, we deliver epic photographs of your day (of course). All our photographers are trained in what we think of as the Between the Pine “house style,” and all edits are handled by the same person.

Hey, I'm Mollie,

It all comes down to this:

Your elopement should be the best day ever (you’ll hear us say that a lot), and we’re here to make that happen.
