Meet Lisa & Stephen: The Couple of the Dreamy Fall Leavenworth Wedding
Meet Lisa and Stephen, the couple of this dreamy fall wedding in Leavenworth, WA! Lisa is originally from Colorado and felt drawn to Leavenworth because the Central Cascades reminded her so much of the Rocky Mountains she once called home. When Lisa and Stephen decided on a fall wedding, it made the most sense to go to Leavenworth because of the beautiful sunny skies, amazing fall colors, (as you can see from their photos!) and so many fun things to do in town!
Lisa and Stephen chose to have a two day Leavenworth wedding so they could enjoy time with friends and family on their wedding day, while also going on an adventure the next day! Their Leavenworth WA wedding started at their AirBnb on Lake Wenatchee, where they got ready and had their first look! Lisa and Stephen also had their ceremony here, surrounded by friends and family. After their ceremony, Lisa, Stephen, and I spent some time on the lake. The water was completely still which was perfect for those gorgeous reflection images you’ll see as you keep reading (and for more elopement inspo to help you start planning your Leavenworth wedding, click here) . We had incredible mid-day colors and the light was unbelievable! We ended their day at a different AirBnb that their family had rented along the river which was the perfect Leavenworth wedding venue for their reception. The cabin was surrounded by all the beautiful bright fall colors and felt so secluded and private. Everyone enjoyed a five course meal prepared by a private chef they brought in to celebrate their wedding day.
The next day, I met Lisa and Stephen at the trailhead for one of my all time favorite hikes in all of Washington. These two were such troopers and hiked all the way to the top in the rain to take in these amazing alpine lakes. Even with the chilly temperatures, we still had the most incredible time during the wedding in Leavenworth WA. The fall colors were truly stunning and made this Leavenworth wedding one to remember.

If you are looking to have a wedding where there are incredible AirBnb’s, hotels, and things to do for your guests, then Leavenworth is the place for you! This Bavarian themed town is located in central Washington and is surrounded by the most stunning mountains. The town hosts an Oktoberfest every year, which is a great activity to incorporate into your Leavenworth wedding! The Fall Colors
Leavenworth is known for its fall colors, and that’s why so many people choose to visit in September and October. The Central Cascades are filled with trees and larches that change from green to all the fall colors you could dream of. Just imagine a mountainside filled with spots of green, yellow and red- it truly is amazing!
Higher Chance of Sunny Skies
Unlike Western Washington when the weather starts to shift in October to a more rainy season, Leavenworth on average has a high of 65 degrees and only five days of rainfall in the entire month. I always recommend Leavenworth to my couples who are wanting a fall wedding in Washington because of the chance for warmer temps and of course more sunshine!

I feel most at home outdoors, so it is no surprise that is where I gravitate towards as a Leavenworth wedding photographer. In college, I was known as the “granola girl” because my outfits were always fit to go to class or hiking (not that I ever skipped class to go to the mountains, lol).
