A True Pacific Northwest Adventure
Being from the midwest, once July rolls around in my head this means summer is in full swing. But in the pacific northwest, this is a whole different story. The weather was feeling very moody on this particular day. From winds, to little pockets of sun, back to wind with a true PNW mist, and eventually to rain, July 1 was the epitome of Seattle weather all wrapped up into one day. From the forest floor, a mountain lake, to a waterfall tucked in the Snoqualimie national forest, this session was the definition of epic. Eva and Biaggo were troopers through it all, and thier love for one another cannot be overlooked.
how we left no trace
We carpooled to one of the locations, staying on the trail while hiking to our location spots, and double checked that we packed out everything we brought in. Simple as that!
When we started our adventure session, the wind was not on our side. So we headed to the forest where the trees protected us from the wind. After finding the perfect spot for photos, Eva + Biaggo (and their cute little pup!) got ready for their photos while I set my camera settings and turned on music from their favorite artists.
After spending time in the forest, we headed to Rattlesnake Lake. This is one of the most popular lakes in Washington to visit as it is close to Seattle, easily acessible, and provides beach access to swim, or in our case, climb trees.
And then Eva + Biaggo had the best idea ever. They had recently seen a photo taken by one of my friends, Henry Tieu, and were insprired to take one of their own. They waded through the water, and then this magic happened while I screamed, "You guys look so epic" the entire time.
And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, we piled into my car and headed deeper into the mountains to Franklin Falls.
Are you singing "Waterfalls" by TLC or is that just me?
