Colorado delivers.

Whatever you’re looking for in an elopement,

HEY! WE’D BE HONORED TO BE YOUR COLORADO ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

Your guide to eloping in colorado:

Check off as you go!

Craggy, snow-dusted mountain peaks. Ancient cliff-top villages. Flat-topped mesas in vivid colors. Dramatic river canyons.

Whatever backdrop you’re envisioning for your elopement, Colorado—home to thirteen national parks & monuments, likely has it (even dinosaur fossils).

But Colorado isn’t just about landscapes, as stunning as they are. It’s full of ways to adventure together, from low-key hikes to whitewater rafting, hot-air balloon rides to rock climbing. (And we haven’t even talked about the food scene yet.)

(So are the mesas, the canyons and the desert)

Why get married here?

You Can Count On Us:

Like which national parks to hit when so that crowds are at a minimum, what layers to pack for a March hike in the Rockies, or even where to grab the best microbrews to stock your Airbnb before your wedding.

As your Colorado elopement photographer, we’re there to support you through the planning process—and then bring the positive energy (and the trail mix) on your wedding day itself.

Our Colorado elopement photographers have been photographing elopements in Colorado in 2018—which means we know a thing or two.

July-September, or winter if you’re the skiing type

season:

A former mining town turned skiing hotspot, Telluride is ideal for both serious adventurers (there’s some great climbing to be had here) and those who want epic mountain views without a long hike. Take a Jeep to Alta Lakes to surround yourself with calming alpine lakes, then swing by a ghost town on the way back.

July-September—the only time the roads are open

season:

Also known as the “Switzerland of America”—within Ouray County, you’ll find 46 named mountains—including a 14er (Mt. Sneffels). When we tell you they’re ncredible, even for Colorado, we mean it. The rugged terrain is ideal for Jeeping, and along the way, you can spy some old mining towns. We especially love the cozy, remote town of Silverton, which is the perfect home base for climbing, hiking, and floating the rivers.

Fall, when the aspens are at their peak

season:

If you like chill ski towns, you’ll feel right at home in Crested Butte. Famous for wildflowers and the glacial Emerald Lake, it’s also the perfect place for hiking, horseback riding, and epic mountain bike rides. Just over an hour away, you’ll find the steep canyons of Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. In autumn, the mountains are splashed with gold thanks to the aspens.

July-September (roads may close in winter)

season:

Listen, Rocky Mountain National Park is the 5th most visited for a reason. It’s home to spectacular alpine lakes, wildflower-laden meadows, and—of course—the snow-capped peaks of the Rockies themselves. Plus, it boasts multiple ADA-accessible trails and overlooks. (P.S. Nearby Estes Park is overflowing with cozy mountain lodges—and it’s also home to the hotel that inspired The Shining.)

That moment when couples look around, take in the scenery, and have that “OMG, I’m getting married here” moment.

What she loves about elopements:

Devin grew up hanging out with her family in the San Juan Mountains, and she’s been photographing elopements for over 5 years. She can definitely beat you in a game of UNO, and if you need someone to teach all your guests the moves to a song, she’s your girl.

Why Elope with Between the Pine

Between the Pine started in 2018, with just me and my camera. Since then, we’ve grown to a hand-picked team of talented photographers, each with over 5 years of experience photographing elopements in their own right.

We like to think of ourselves as local experts - we’ve spent countless hours scouting the best trails and lookout sites in Colorado, building a network of trustworthy vendors, and preparing for the challenges Mother Nature sometimes throws at us. (We can even give you advice on what to see and do if you’re sticking around Colorado for your honeymoon!)

When you book your Colorado adventure elopement with us, we don’t just show up with our camera on the morning of. We get to know you, then create a detailed itinerary for your day, centered on you and the vibe you both want—whether that’s taking a scenic train ride, clasping hands in front of a waterfall, or hiking through a red-walled canyon.

And on top of all the planning, cheerleading, and guiding we do, we deliver epic photographs of your day (of course). All our photographers are trained in what we think of as the Between the Pine “house style,” and all edits are handled by the same person.

Hey, I'm Mollie,

It all comes down to this:

Your elopement should be the best day ever (you’ll hear us say that a lot), and we’re here to make that happen.
