Lookout Lodge Wedding in Snohomish Washington
Nine years before this Lookout Lodge wedding in Snohomish, Washington, Brooke and Benjamin started dating and haven’t looked back. Their years together included seasons of long distance, but it was so evident throughout their wedding day that this pair was made for each other.
The day began out at Lookout Lodge in Snohomish, Washington. Lookout Lodge is the perfect Pacific Northwest wedding venue. It’s tucked away among the pine trees and has an amazing outdoor ceremony space where the mountains peak out beyond the trees. Brooke and Benjamin quite literally said, “I do,” while standing Between the Pine (lol).
Throughout their cloudy Pacific Northwest wedding day, Brooke opened letters written by Benjamin. Each letter came with a flower and plenty of tears from anyone in the room (including me!). Brooke and Benjamin had the sweetest first look together. Ben was blindfolded in the forest (but absolutely not in a creepy Bird Box way!) which gave Brooke the chance to snuggle up without him seeing her. Ben’s reaction to seeing his bride was pure joy and precious tears. Brooke also did a first look with her bridesmaids and dad, which landed the same response of joy, celebration and tears. Keep scrolling to see their reactions!
First Looks in the Snohomish Forest
Are you a sucker for some emotion-filled first looks? Same! You’ll love Cody and Emily’s first look along a beach in Bellingham. Tears were shed as they kicked off their shoes to wash each other’s feet and read their vows to one another. Or, maybe you are a bride or groom who is all about the tradition! You’ll definitely want to see Caitlyn and Luke’s PNW inspired wedding in Waco, Texas. They chose to wait to see one another until Cait walked down the aisle. Trust me, Luke’s reaction to seeing her will give you chills!
A Lookout Lodge Wedding Ceremony
This Lookout Lodge ceremony was in the dreamy location I mentioned earlier under an amazing log arbor (which is part of the venue at Lookout Lodge!). Every word spoken was intentional and genuine, and Brooke’s grandfather even officiated part of the ceremony.
DIY Snohomish Wedding Details
One of my favorite things about Brooke and Benjamin’s wedding were all of the simple, do-it-yourself and beautiful details they created. Brooke’s stunning wedding dress with incredible long-sleeve lace detail was from Etsy. Brooke made their own bouquets of flowers, and one of her bridesmaids did her makeup for her. They even had a photobooth at their reception with details they had created! It perfectly fit their personalities, which is exactly how a wedding day should be!
I love how common it is becoming for brides, grooms, friends and families to help with details of the wedding! It makes details so much more personalized by creating them yourself. I’ve had some amazing couples think outside of the box and either create their own details or find price-friendly alternatives. Check out these gorgeous flowers from Pike’s Place Market at a wedding on the Olympic Peninsula. Also, can we take a moment to swoon over this winter-wedding makeup look created by a friend of the bride! Or, you may even need a friend to chop the firewood that will help heat the Airbnb lodge where your wedding and reception are! The creative possibilities are truly endless, and I love being inspired by my couples.
Just as the dance party began at Brooke and Benjamin’s wedding, the rain began to fall and fall hard! The venue set up a tent for guests to dance under, but everyone still chose to dance in the rain anyways. It was full of care-free fun and joy as they danced into the night. The rain died down just enough for the sparkler send-off, as friends and family celebrated the rain-soaked newlyweds.
