North Cascades Micro Wedding Venues
Fun fact: North Cascades National Park is one of the most underrated national parks in the country (and it’s packed with some incredible intimate wedding venues!). If you’re dreaming of a wedding surrounded by some of the most stunning mountain landscapes in Washington, this is a pretty epic place to start.

Apres Cabin
Best for: a cozy mountain weekend with your favorite people

Imagine exchanging vows at a picturesque cabin surrounded by mountain views and spending the rest of the weekend hanging out with your favorite people. Well, that’s exactly the kind of experience you can get at Après Cabin.
This cozy North Cascades venue can host up to 30 guests and sleeps up to 10, making it a great option for couples who want their wedding to feel more like a weekend getaway than a traditional one-day event. They also provide furniture, dinnerware, and more, so you can settle in for a celebratory meal without having to bring your entire kitchen cabinet with you.
Basecamp 49
Best for: an elevated mountain weekend

Basecamp 49 brings a little more luxury to the Methow Valley without taking you away from the reason you’re there in the first place: getting outside.
With luxury accommodations and an event space surrounded by some of the Methow Valley’s best outdoor recreation, it’s a great home base for a small wedding weekend filled with hiking, biking, exploring, good food, and plenty of time with your people.
Casia Lodge & Ranch

With breathtaking views and easy access to Twisp and Winthrop (two of our favorite Washington mountain towns), Casia makes a beautiful home base for a mountain wedding weekend. Here you can spend your time skiing, fishing, cycling, horseback riding, hiking, snowshoeing, rafting, or doing absolutely nothing together (honestly, we love that just as much!).
Red Mountain Retreat
Best for: a relaxed celebration with all your people together under one roof

Red Mountain Retreat gives you 25 acres to spread out, slow down, and enjoy the people you brought along for the ride.
The property sleeps 14 and has some seriously fun amenities, including a treehouse sauna and even a Steinway piano (perfect for serenading your guests). It’s dog-friendly, less than an hour from Mt. Baker, and the kind of place you and your guests will want to hang out, whether for a slow morning with coffee, a sauna session after hiking, or everyone gathered around for dinner at the end of the day.
Rolling Huts
Best for: a wilderness hut-style stay among some of Washington’s most gorgeous mountains

Rolling Huts provides a modern setting for your micro wedding complete with gorgeous backyard mountain views. The venue offers a variety of accommodations including six huts, a farmhouse, bunkhouses, and tents giving camping vibes (but with all the modern amenities). Oh, and did we mention their accommodations are pup-friendly? Best. News. Ever!
North Cascades Mountain Hostel
Best for: a cozy adult summer camp-style adventure

With accommodations for up to 35 guests, North Cascades Mountain Hostel offers a blend of adventure and intimacy, making it an excellent choice for small wedding celebrations. Couples can choose from private cabins/rooms or shared dorm rooms depending on the experience you (and your guests) want to have. The hostel has several food options nearby and is located close to Maple-Pass Loop, one of our favorite North Cascades hiking trails!
Mt Baker Lodging
Best for: rustic stays where the focus is on the adventure

There is nothing better than getting back from an adventure-filled day in the mountains and coming home to a luxurious cabin with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The cabins at Mt Baker Lodging are some of the best in the North Cascades and they have a variety of cabins that can host group meals for up to 15 guests. Mt Rainier Micro Wedding Venues
As the crown jewel of Washington mountains, Mount Rainier is one of the most iconic places to hold a small wedding in Washington. If you’re looking for breathtaking views, big mountain energy, and plenty of opportunities to get outside, Rainier is a pretty solid choice.

It’s located just outside the southwest entrance to Mount Rainier National Park, making it easy to head into the park for adventure portraits or a little exploring before or after your celebration.

Agate Beach Lodge is one of our favorite small wedding venues on the Washington coast. The lodge itself is stunning, but pair it with the views of the private beach and surrounding forest and you’ve got a pretty incredible place to celebrate.
It’s a great option for couples who want a little more privacy and a whole lot of Pacific Northwest scenery.
Kalaloch Lodge

The Perch

There is something pretty magical about an A-frame wedding venue in Washington, and The Perch just so happens to be one of our favorites.

Kitsap Memorial State Park
Best for: a waterfront ceremony without a traditional venue

Snoqualmie Valley Micro Wedding Venues
There are tons of small wedding venues in Washington that allow you to experience the best of nature without traveling too far from Seattle. We love Leavenworth, but not just for its Bavarian-themed downtown. This area is also home to some of the best mountain trails in Washington and a handful of seriously fun small wedding venues.

With onsite lodging, beautiful grounds, and plenty to do nearby, Sleeping Lady Resort is an easy place to settle in with your favorite people and turn a small wedding into a full weekend experience. Unique Small Wedding Venues in Washington State
Believe it or not, your intimate wedding doesn’t have to take place at a traditional wedding venue. In fact, one of the best things about keeping your guest list small is that you have a lot more flexibility in where you celebrate.
Here are a couple of unique micro wedding venues in Washington to consider if a traditional venue isn’t really your thing.
Campgrounds
A camping wedding can be a seriously fun way to spend more time with your people and lean all the way into the outdoors.
Instead of a traditional venue, you can make the campground your home base and build your celebration around hiking, campfires, shared meals, stargazing, and whatever other adventures sound like you.
Just make sure you’re checking the campground’s rules and reservation requirements before planning your ceremony or gathering.
Day-Use & Picnic Areas
Day-use and picnic areas can be a great option for a small wedding ceremony, especially if you’re planning a camping wedding or want a convenient place to gather before heading out on the rest of your adventure.
Depending on the location, these spots can be a relatively low-cost way to get married, without needing a traditional wedding venue. You can choose a ceremony location based on the landscape you want to experience, then make the rest of the day your own.
We’ve worked with couples who hired a planner to set up a beautiful picnic after their ceremony, and others who kept things simple and cooked breakfast together on their camp stove. Having that kind of flexibility is part of what makes an intimate adventure wedding so fun. Your “venue” can be a lakeside picnic area, a forest clearing, or a place to gather before heading out for the rest of your adventure.
Recreation.gov and Hipcamp are good places to start looking for outdoor locations, but always check the specific site’s rules before making plans.
What to Look for in a Washington Small Wedding Venue
Over the years, we’ve learned a few tips and tricks when it comes to planning weddings at smaller venues. Before you fall completely in love with a place, here are a few things worth checking.
How Many People Can Actually Be There?
A venue might sleep 12 people but allow 20 people to attend your wedding, or it might have a different limit for ceremonies and events. Make sure you know the total guest capacity, not just how many people can stay overnight.
How Close Is It to Your Adventure?
If your wedding day includes hiking, exploring, or adventure portraits, take a look at the surrounding area before you book.
You don’t necessarily need your venue and your adventure location to be in the exact same spot, but choosing places that are reasonably close together can save you a whole lot of driving and give you more time to enjoy your day.
How Much (and What Type of) Lodging Is Available?
One of the best parts of having a small wedding is getting to spend more time with your favorite people. Some couples want everyone under one roof, while others prefer separate accommodations nearby.
Think about what kind of weekend you want and make sure there are enough options for everyone who is coming along, whether that’s one big cabin or smaller cabins in a central area.
What Happens If It Rains?
It’s Washington and we don’t say this to scare you, but it’s very possible that rain will be part of your adventure (and, if it is, don’t panic, we’ve gotchu).
Ask about covered or indoor spaces, what the venue allows you to use, and what your options are if the weather decides to do its thing. A good backup plan means you can roll with whatever the day brings instead of stressing about it.
