One of the most rewarding things we experience as elopement photographers is seeing the joy on our couple’s faces while celebrating their best day ever! Kelly and Scott’s Oregon Coast elopement day was beyond magical, I don’t know about you, but scrolling through their photos, I can’t help but feel the love radiating from these two. From running around on the beach with their pup Jasper to eating multiple delicious catered meals, Kelly and Scott spent their entire day celebrating their love in the way they truly wanted! Meet Kelly & Scott: The Couple of This Oregon Coast Elopement
When we received Kelly and Scott’s inquiry and read that they loved road trips, funky towns, good coffee and wine, playing games, and being outside we knew it was a perfect match! Kelly and Scott live in Arizona but they wanted to elope on the Oregon Coast (specifically near Canon Beach as it was a special place for them). They started planning and Dawn found the perfect location for them near Ecola State Park. The couple packed their bags and made the road trip to Oregon with all their loved ones.
Their day started out at sunrise on the beach (with their pup of honor Jasper). From there they spent a few quality moments with family while getting ready before heading out to their ceremony where the moody PNW weather was in full force! After their elopement ceremony on a bluff overlooking the ocean they headed back to their cabin for a celebratory meal (one of three catered meals that they enjoyed that day – shout out to Miere Catering) before heading out for a sunset hike along the coast. There, they exchanged personal vows with the sound of waves crashing against the cliffs below.
Kelly and Scott had told us that they wanted their day to be filled with adventuring, good food, and those they love and their Oregon Coast elopement turned out to be just that and so much more!
Three Iconic Beaches on the Oregon Coast for an Elopement
We could go on and on about all the incredible beaches that Oregon has to offer (and, believe us, we have a lot more to show you) but here are a few of our top favorite places for your Oregon Coast elopement. And yes, while there are other more well-known beaches like Canon Beach, those beaches are also incredibly busy, so, to us, these three take the cake for the best places to elope on the Oregon Coast!
Ecola State Park
Nestled along the stunning coastline of Oregon, Ecola State Park is a hidden gem offering tons of opportunities to take in the beautiful vistas and explore all the magic the PNW has to offer. In fact, this area of the coastline stretches for 9 miles so we aren’t kidding when we say you’ll have lots to see and explore. Some of our favorite things to do at Ecola State Park are beachcombing and tide pooling, hiking trails through old-growth forests or along the cliffside paths, picnicking on the beach at sunset, and soaking in all the breathtaking views along the way!
Hug Point
Another one of the Oregon Coast’s northern gems is Hug Point. This beach area is not only beautiful, but it’s also fairly easy to access (only a 17-minute walk) making it a great location for elopements with guests. Here, you’ll be able to get up close to the rugged cliffs and explore a few caves while soaking in the beautiful sunset views during your Oregon Coast elopement.

Southern Oregon is full of beautiful beaches and rugged coastline that are just perfect for your Oregon Coast elopement! What You Need to Know About Your Oregon Coast Elopement Packages
When choosing to have an Oregon Coast elopement, we highly recommend two elopement packages to our couples – full-day or sunrise to sunset.
Our full-day package includes first-look photos at your cabin in the early afternoon. We will then head out to two unique locations for you and your partner to explore. After, we will head to your ceremony location, where you will elope in the mountains with the most stunning backdrop at sunset!
The second elopement package option is our sunrise-to-sunset package. This is one of our most popular elopement packages booked by our couples and here’s why: when booking a sunrise to sunset elopement, you are going to have golden hour and blue hour at BOTH sunrise and sunset! Meet Your Photographers For Your Oregon Coast Elopement
We feel most at home in the outdoors, so it’s no surprise that is where we gravitate towards as your Oregon Coast elopement photographers.
