Oregon State Parks
With over 300 state parks to choose from, you won’t be short on options for outdoor micro wedding venues in Oregon! State and national parks are great places to hold your ceremony, especially if you want to include some adventure into your day. Day Use Areas and Group Campsites
Day-use areas are a great and relatively low-cost (or free) place to hold your intimate wedding ceremony. Whether you are planning a camping wedding or just want to find a convenient location to hold your ceremony before heading out on the rest of your adventure, day-use areas are a great option! Visit recreation.gov and Hipcamp to find areas for your outdoor wedding ceremony.
What to Look For When Choosing a Micro Wedding Venue in Oregon
Over the years we’ve learned a few tips and tricks for holding your ceremony at a micro wedding venue. Here are a few questions you may want to ask your host before booking.
How Many Bathrooms Are Onsite?
This is one detail that you don’t want to overlook! When choosing a micro wedding venue, ensure there are enough restrooms available for your guests.
What Is the Proximity to Trails?
If your intimate wedding day consists of some hiking or adventuring, consider how far away the venue is from your desired locations. In order to make the most of your wedding day, you may want to choose locations that are within close proximity to each other to help reduce the amount of driving time that is needed.
How Many Guests Does it Sleep and What is the Proximity to Other Lodging?
There are lots of ways to plan a micro wedding with guests, especially if you or your guests are traveling from out of town. Some couples choose to book an accommodation that can house all their guests while others prefer to book separate accommodations. No matter which option you choose, consider how many people each place can sleep and whether or not there are other nearby options for your guests to choose from.
What Does the Surrounding Landscape Look Like?
A micro wedding venue set in a beautiful location can help add to the magic of your wedding day. Consider the surrounding area of your wedding venue. What type of backdrop do you want for your wedding and are there nearby locations that can provide the kind of setting you are looking for?
